Europe’s only surf, skate and music festival returns to Newquay, Cornwall from 8-12th August 2012.

Situated across two legendary locations along the beautiful Cornish coastline the Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters in Association with Vans will once again return to deliver to you, our faithful followers, the ultimate in the lifestyle we all love.

The Fistral Beach site, where surfing in the UK began, plays host to the best in action sports including the ASP World Tour Surfing events and The Vans Summer Sessions.

As you probably know that is not all. Friday and Saturday sees the party expand to the Festival site at Watergate Bay. Now known as Cornwall’s festival, the Boardmasters delivers a laid back festival atmosphere designed to bring out the inner surfer in everyone. The themed festival offers a tailored music offering across eight stages on what must be the most beautiful festival site in the UK.

The Showground at Wadebridge hosts The Royal Cornwall Show on Thursday 7th June until Saturday 9th June 2012. The years agricultural show promises to be better than ever, please click here for more details.

Run to the Sun held it's first event way back in 1987 and has grown into one of the largest Custom Car, VW and dance festivals in Europe since its conception. Run to the Sun is a 3 day event spread over 2 sites in Newquay

Trevelgue which is the main event site and the Show 'n' Shine competition is on Sunday 3rd June (venue to be confirmed). 3 nights of live entertainment complete with DJ's, visual performers and laser shows. 5 different Arena's provide venues for live bands, music, stand-up comedy, chilled-out tunes, acoustic sessions and even a Morph Tent! 

The London Olympics is edging closer every day and the eyes of the world will be on Cornwall on Saturday, May 19 2012 when the Olympic Torch will start its incredible journey around the UK from Lands End.

Lit in Greece, the Olympic Flame - an iconic symbol of peace, unity and friendship - will then be carried by 150 torch bearers through Cornish towns and villages including:

Thundercat Racing is based on a 400 meters X 200 meters 'M' circuit that has five turn buoys including a chicane. This close action racing produces an adrenaline sport that is exciting and thrilling for both racers and spectators. The design, development and technical input has led to a new bread of quality boats with racing pedigrees that reach extreme speeds and out maneuver any other waterborne boat of a similar size. The boats are designed to plane quickly across the water allowing the hull to ride on a cushion of air bubbles reducing the wet surface and lubricating the contact between vessel and water. "If NASA were to design a lilo it would be a Thundercat."

For those of you that have never been down to Newquay before, the Miniworld Riviera Run is a 2 day Mini festival held at Trevelgue Holiday Park complete with organized cruise, specialized mini events, a Show ‘n' Shine, a festival village, an indoor swimming pool and a week of live entertainment in our on-site bars. 

The event attracts around 1000 cars and over 2000 people. Special attractions have included the talents of International Strongman John Evans who is famous amongst other things for balancing a Mini on his head!

Since 2001 Zapcat Racing has proved a phenomenal success, with the UK Zapcat National Championship establishing itself as the worlds largest one design championship and now celebrating its 10th Anniversary. The reasons for the sports' success can be attributed to the foundations and ethics on which Zapcat Racing is based:

Strict one design powerboat racing that is safe, affordable, fair and fun in challenging marine environments. Due to strict one design nature of Zapat Racing, a level playing field is created across the sport. Unlike other smaller, expensive and often elitist classes of powerboat racing, with their need for multiple propellers and engine modifications. Most teams have one hull, one engine, two propellers and importantly one propeller guard … making the racing simple, safe and affordable!

Spring is in the air at Fifteen Cornwall and to celebrate the very best of the season's produce we are holding another of our renowned Spring Farmers' Markets. Our talented local suppliers will be showcasing their wonderful produce and our head chef, Andy Appleton, will be demonstrating the latest dishes alongside other guest chefs.  From spring vegetables to Cornish fish, local meat to artisan foods, we will have it all.

The fifteen Cornwall Farmers' Market will take place in the Extreme Academy car park, in front of the restaurant at Watergate Bay 9am - 3:30pm. It is free to attend.
