Fistral Beach

Fistral Beach is Newquay’s iconic beach, and one of the best surfing beaches in the UK and Europe. Fistral Beach is a 5 minute drive from the town centre or 20 minute walk and has payable parking for 200 cars. Fistral is the perfect family beach combined with first class beach and seafront facilities including surf equipment hire, lessons and boutiques, showers, toilets, car parking, restaurants and cafes.

Fistral is also the setting for festivals and events including Boardmasters – Europes largest surf and skate festival every August. Many events take place throughout the year such as thundercat racing championships , Unite fitness festival, the English National Surfing Championship, night surfing and the King of the Groms Junior Surf Festival.

Fistral Beach boasts a state of the art RNLI Lifeguard station for the lifeguards who work from May to September with voluntary lifeguard cover on busy weekends through the winter. The brand new facilites include a dedicated first aid room, storage, changing facilities and a large observational area from which the lifeguards watch the one of the busiest beaches in the country.

Rick Steins Overlooking the iconic Fistral beach, our casual and laid-back restaurant serves Rick’s famous fish & chips as well as dishes inspired by his travels around Asia, including Goan chicken curry, beef mussaman curry, pad Thai noodles, nasi goreng and Sri Lankan cashew nut curry.

The beach bar Relax and unwind on our extensive decked area, with uninterrupted views of the stunning North Cornwall coastline. Their menu provides freshly baked, mouth watering pizzas, healthy salads, naughty nachos and plenty more, serving late into the evening.

The fish house Paul Harwood’s Fish House is a new restaurant in Newquay located on Fistral Beach a stones throw from the sea. The inspiration for their food comes straight from the sea, using locally caught fish and shell fish caught straight from Newquay harbour. They use the best seasonal ingredients available, to create rustic dishes with authentic flavours. What better way to finish a day on the beach than watching the sunset eating amazing food and soaking up the atmosphere.


 

Little Fistral

Little Fistral beach sits north of Newquay’s famous Fistral Beach, and is only accessible at low tide. Check the tide times here

Little Fistral is a located to the west of Towan headland and is one of the more unspoilt and quieter beaches enjoyed by the locals with a tropical feel on a sunny day.

The beach has a small car park and toilets, although you can park at the nearby Fistral Beach car park which is a short walk away.

Tolcarne Beach

Tolcarne Beach is nestled between Lusty Glaze and Great Western Beach and is accessible via a set of steps or a sloping roadway.

Whether you are looking for a family beach day or romantic date Tolcarne has it all. One of Newquay town beaches its a short stroll from Cliff Road

The Colonial bar and restaurant was built in 2019 and offers sophisticated dining with breakfast, lunch and dinner with exceptional ocean views
